Collection: Deflection Clips for Metal Framing

Deflection connectors or slide clips directly contrast fixed clips. Through the use of slots, slide clips allow for the isolation of vertical movement in building structures. This is particularly useful in exterior curtain wall or “bypass” framing to allow for flooring or roofing to deflect without transferring loads to walls. In some cases, specialized hardware is provided with clips to promote friction-free sliding within the slip connection. For clips that enable horizontal movement see drift clips.
