The MasterClip® VLB is designed to provide an efficient and versatile solution for connecting exterior cold-formed steel curtain wall studs to the slab, bypassing the primary structure. This dual-purpose clip can function either as a rigid connection to resist vertical and horizontal loads or as a vertical deflection connection, making it ideal for a variety of structural applications. Its patented Integrated Break-Away Step Bushings ensure friction-free motion for smooth vertical deflection, accommodating up to 2" of movement (1" up and 1" down). This clip simplifies the ordering process by serving both rigid and deflection purposes, reducing the need for multiple products.
