Product Description

The ClarkDietrich Universal Joist Hangers (UJH) available in 68mils (14ga) or 97mils (12ga) variations are optimal for connecting joists to CFS headers by using screws, welds, or PAF fasteners, and to steel I-beams by using welds or PAF fasteners. Designed to accommodate joist sizes ranging from 8" to 14" deep, the ClarkDietrich UJH offers a versatile solution for secure and reliable connections in various construction projects. Installation (Clip to Joist): Make sure that the joist flange is resting on top of the Universal Joist Hanger. Secure the UJH hanger using the designated number of #10 or #14 screws as specified in the manufacturer's published table. Installation (CFS Header): Fasten the UJH hanger securely to both the top and side (face) of the CFS Header using the designated number of #10 screws as detailed in the manufacturer's published table. Installation (Structural Beam): Welded Connections- Make sure there is a minimum of 2" fillet weld on each side of the top flange. Take special precautions when welding galvanized steel. PAF (Powder Actuated Fasteners)- For powder actuated fasteners attachment (PAF, 0.157"), steel headers shall have minimum 3/16" thickness and minimum yield strength of 36 ksi.
