Product Description

Tile-Tape® is specifically designed to prevent leaks caused by common grout cracks. This tape is applied over seams and corners formed by tile substrates and mold-resistant boards in wet areas. Tile-Tape is manufactured using a durable composite material, offering exceptional strength and mold resistance. It is twice as strong as paper or mesh tape and won’t cut or snag when applying tile-setting compound with a notched trowel. Tile-Tape is designed for use with tile, marble, and granite. Using this tape ensures straight, strong, and waterproof inside, outside, and off-angle corners. Installation: 1- Cut Tile-Tape to the desired length. 2- Fold Tile-Tape in half along the center crease for inside or outside corners. 3- For inside corners, ensure the print side is facing out. 4- For outside corners, ensure the print side is facing the wall. 5- Using a 5” or 6” taping knife, apply a coat of tile-setting compound such as latex-fortified mortar or Type 1 organic adhesive to flat joints or inside corners. 6- Press Tile-Tape into the wet compound, adjusting if necessary to create a straight line. 7- Wipe down the tape with the taping knife to ensure it is smooth and secure. 8- Apply tile-setting compound with a notched trowel and proceed to install tile or marble.
