Product Description

The Spazzer® Snap-In Grommet is used to create a secure installation of the TradeReady Spazzer 5400 bar in load-bearing applications. The ClarkDietrich TradeReady® Spazzer® 5400 spacer bar is a pre-notched, galvanized steel spacer and bridging bar designed to help swiftly and efficiently construct exterior curtain wall framing, loadbearing walls, and high interior partitions made up of structural studs. Installation (Load-Bearing Wall): 1- Insert the TradeReady Spazzer 5400 bar through the stud knockouts and rotate it 90° to engage each side of the knockout securely. 2- For load-bearing studs, use the Spazzer snap-in grommet along with screws to firmly secure the bar in place. 3- Install the TradeReady Spazzer 5400 bar at a maximum 4' o.c. vertically or per specification. Do not use in studs over 6" wide. Installation (Non-Load-Bearing Wall): 1- Insert the TradeReady Spazzer 5400 bar through the stud knockouts and rotate it 90° to engage each side of the knockout securely. 2- For 20 gauge studs, screws are required in addition to the Spazzer snap-in grommet to firmly secure the bar in place. 3- Install the TradeReady Spazzer 5400 bar at a maximum 5' o.c. vertically or per specification. Do not use in studs over 6" wide.
