Product Description

Simpson Strong-Tie Titen Turbo screw anchors have an innovative torque reduction channel that effectively traps drilling dust and prevents the obstruction of thread action. This channel reduces binding, stripping, and snapping- all without compromising strength and performance. The channel accommodating dust also helps prevent the anchors from bottoming out in smaller diameter screw holes. The threading features a serrated leading edge that effectively cuts concrete or masonry, and a pointed tip that also enables wood to concrete or wood to wood anchoring. Installation: Drill a hole in base material using the appropriate sized carbide drill bit as specified in manufacturer’s published table. Drill the hole to the target embedment depth plus 1/2” to allow the thread tapping dust to settle. Dust can be cleared from the pre-drilled hole with compressed air for best results. Position your fixture, insert the screw anchor, and then tighten using the Titen Turbo screw installation tool fitted with a hex socket or 6-lobe bit socket.
