The Simpson Strong-Tie S/JCT skewable joist connector is designed for builders who need strength and flexibility. This versatile connector supports cold-formed steel headers, wood headers, steel I-beams, or masonry walls, making it a go-to solution across framing projects. Because it carries shear loads rather than bearing loads, web stiffeners are not required saving time and materials on every install. The S/JCT connector skews up to 45° left or right to simplify complex framing layouts, while horizontal alignment tabs make top-flange placement and screw installation faster and more accurate. Its universal design fits joist sizes from 8" through 14", reducing the need for multiple hanger types. Built from heavy-duty 14-gauge (68 mil) G90 galvanized steel, it delivers lasting strength and corrosion resistance, all while minimizing installed cost by cutting down on extra parts and labor at the jobsite.
