Product Description

The Simpson Strong-Tie H1AZ Hurricane Tie is designed for securing trusses or rafters to wall plates, enhancing resistance to wind and seismic forces. Made from 18-gauge galvanized steel with a ZMAX coating for corrosion resistance, this single tie connects to both sides of nominal 2x lumber for higher lateral load resistance. It offers faster installation compared to single-sided ties and can be installed with flanges facing either in or out. Installation: For optimal performance, use all specified fasteners. Install on the outside or inside of the wall. Avoid fastening through truss plates from behind to prevent performance issues.
