Product Description

The Simpson Strong-Tie H6Z ZMAX coated single-sided hurricane tie is designed to resist moderate to high uplift loads at both stud-to-top track and rim-joist-to-stud connections. The length of the tie makes it ideal for applications where spanning a larger distance between members is necessary. The H6Z is also well suited for hybrid projects with connection of wood trusses or joists to cold formed steel (CFS) walls. This tie is made of 16 ga. steel with a ZMAX coating for corrosion resistance. Shipped in equal quantities of left and right ties. Installation: Use all specified fasteners to ensure full load capacity and optimal performance. Note hurricane ties do not replace solid blocking. Avoid fastening through truss plates from behind to maintain truss performance.
