Product Description

The Simpson Strong-Tie S/HDU holdown series provides high performance with simple installation. The holdowns feature predeflected geometry, resulting in low deflection under load. Designed to be installed using self-drilling tapping screws into the framing studs, these holdowns reduce installation time. This time efficiency results in labor cost savings. S/HDU holdowns are made from 10ga (118 mil) G90 coated steel. Installation: Use all specified fasteners. Fasten to studs with standard #14 self-drilling screws. Anchor bolt washer is not required.
