Product Description

The Spazzer bar fly clip is a secure and efficient way to finish off a wall section when putting up curtain walls or load bearing framing while using the TradeReady® Spazzer 5400 spacer bar. This retention clip eliminates the need for cutting and bending when using the Spazzer 5400 spacer bar. Traditionally, at the end of a section, the Spazzer bar would need to be cut and bent to make sure the bar remains in place. Using this Spazzer bar fly clip, this process becomes as easy as fastening the pre-punched clip to the stud and the Spazzer bar. Excess Spazzer bar is cut off straight and secure installation is complete. The Spazzer fly clip is an ideal solution for installing off module studs with the 5400 series Spazzer bar. Simply make a straight cut to the bar just short of the stud web, and use the Spazzer fly clip to quickly connect the Spazzer bar to the face of the stud with self-drilling framing screws. Installation (Load-Bearing Wall): 1- Insert the TradeReady Spazzer 5400 bar through the stud knockouts and rotate it 90° to engage each side of the knockout securely. 2- For load-bearing applications, additional attachment is needed to firmly secure the bar in place—the Spazzer bar fly clip is an optimal solution. 3- Install the TradeReady Spazzer 5400 bar at a maximum 4' o.c. vertically or per specification. Do not use in studs over 6" wide.
