Product Description

ClarkDietrich EasyClip S-Series Support clips are commonly used to secure U-Channel (CRC) to framing members for lateral bridging, and other various rigid connections. This versatile clip offers high-performance and finds extensive use in reinforcing corners, stair openings, and various support applications. It's an appropriate choice for window and door framing, as well as for miscellaneous rigid connections securing framing members together or to the primary building structure. EasyClip S-Series clips come in different lengths and gauges, and feature pre-punched holes for swift and precise fastener installation. Installation: 1- Secure EasyClip S-Series support clips onto cold-formed steel (CFS) framing members using #10 (minimum) self-drilling screws inserted through the clip holes and driven into the steel framing. When not filling all holes, install fasteners symmetrically starting at the top and bottom edges and move toward the center of the clip. Welding the clip to the CFS framing is also an option. 2- For connections to the primary building structure, utilize powder-actuated fasteners (PAF), drill-in concrete anchors, or welding. When using manufacturer published table values for a welded clip, make sure to create a full weld to the structure from top to bottom along the clip's exterior. A minimum 3/4" weld on the outside edge of the 1-1/2" leg is required to manage warping (also holds the clip securely before final welding).
