Product Description

The ClarkDietrich Pony Wall is intended to support out-of-plane loading of cantilevered partial wall systems that are unsupported at the top track. Out-of-plane loads are transferred to the floor system through the base-plate, which is welded to the Pony Wall stud member. A pony wall also known as a knee wall is a short wall often about 3 feet tall and usually unsupported at the top. Because it is unsupported at the top, pony walls/knee walls need very strong anchors in the floor to hold them vertical. This product and others from the same family offer a very robust way to anchor your pony wall down to the floor. Installation: Install the Pony Wall inside the track or directly to the floor structure. Anchor to the floor as designed by EOR. Attach the studs to both flanges of the Pony Wall. A minimum of 2-1/2" stud member can be used with the Pony Wall Lite and a minimum of 3-1/2" stud member can be used with the Pony Wall Heavy.
