Product Description

The Outlet-Patch, pre-cut for standard receptacle boxes, is manufactured using materials that guarantee a smooth finish without fuzzing up during sanding. Outlet-Patch also repairs and reinforces areas around receptacle boxes that have been mis-cut or damaged. Installation: 1- Begin by lightly sanding the area to be repaired. 2- Apply a layer of drywall compound, measuring between 1/8” to 1/4"" thick, directly onto the back of the patch. 3- Position the patch directly over the center of the repair and press it flat against the wall using a joint knife. 4- Immediately apply a skim-coat of compound over the patch and allow it to dry. 5- Once the first coat is dry, apply a second coat and allow it to dry completely before sanding. 6- The compound remaining on the backside of Perma-Patch adds rigidity to the repaired area. Note: For repairs over painted surfaces, it's recommended to use Strait-Flex Super-Bond mixed with all-purpose joint compound to enhance bondability.
