These versatile clips feature a 1/4" thick A36 steel stiffening plate, ensuring exceptional design values for optimal performance. Engineered to withstand horizontal, torsional, and vertical (uplift) loads, ClarkDietrich moment clips provide robust support for various applications. These clips simplify installation and enhance structural integrity with multiple pre-punched attachment holes for steel framing and a 1/2" anchor bolt hole for foundation connections. Using ClarkDietrich moment clips as a part of your strategy for reliable and durable kneewall-to-foundation and shearwall-to-foundation connections can help to ensure that your structures remain secure and stable. Installation: 1- Attach the Moment Clip to the steel framing member using #12 screws through the prepunched holes. The number and pattern of screws should match the load requirements to achieve the specified capacities in the manufacturer's published chart. 2- Position the 1/4" steel stiffening plate on top of the short leg of the Moment Clip, making sure the anchor holes are aligned. 3- Fasten the 1/4" steel stiffening plate and Moment Clip to the foundation with a 1/2" x 2" Hilti Kwik-Bolts 3 or alternative calculated anchorage that meets the tension load requirements for your application.
