ClarkDietrich LS545 SWIFTCLIP™ 16GA 5-1/2" x 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" x 54mils (16ga) (bucket of 200)
Product Description
ClarkDietrich pre-punched LS Series SwiftClips™ are versatile connectors used in various construction applications. The 1-1/2" leg x 1-1/2" leg fixed/rigid connection clips are particularly well suited for lateral bracing CRC connections, header & sill connections and floor joist hangers. Note that fixed clips are not substitutes for deflection clips. SwiftClip™ LS-Series™ support clips are helpful for many construction projects, especially when used with structural studs and tracks. These L-shaped clips fit snugly between stud flanges, preventing the need to order shorter clips. Designed to save labor hours, they feature pre-punched holes for faster screw attachments and are specifically punched to facilitate CRC lateral bracing connections. Installation: 1- SwiftClip Support Clips are secured to cold-formed steel (CFS) framing members using #10 self-drilling screws at minimum, driven through the pre-punched holes into the steel framing. Connections to the building structure can be made using powder-actuated fasteners, drill-in concrete anchors, or welding. The design engineer is responsible for detailing the attachment of the clips and verifying their capacity for the specific application. 2- Place the first two screws in each leg into the outermost screw holes. 3- Place the next two screws (if needed) in the center holes next to the CRC holes (diagonally). 4- Additional screws (if necessary) should be placed symmetrically, moving from the outermost holes toward the center.
