ClarkDietrich’s Extended SwiftClip™ LE-Series rigid framing clip is designed for attaching exterior wall studs to building structures, offering robust resistance to both horizontal and vertical loads. These extended rigid clips are easy to install using screws, powder-actuated fasteners, or welds. This series of clips is ideal for medium and large standoff conditions. The clips are unpunched, allowing for customization based on specific application needs and the required number and placement of fasteners. Installation: Extended SwiftClip™ LE-Series clips are attached to cold-formed steel framing members using #10 self-drilling screws at minimum. Alternatively, the clips can be welded to the cold-formed steel framing. Building frame connections can be made with powder-actuated fasteners, drill-in concrete anchors, or welding. A design professional and engineer of record should determine the appropriate type, number, and placement of fasteners for your building project.
