ClarkDietrich Seismic and Hurricane Ties are engineered to provide enhanced wind and seismic resistance for trusses and rafters. These clips ensure robust attachment to the primary building structure. The clips offer versatility, serving well in other applications such as general tie-down purposes, strong back attachments, and all-purpose ties where members intersect. The HC2 and HC2A versions feature an A-shaped section formed from a flat plate, allowing easy straddling of a top plate because of the right-angle bend along the longitudinal axis. Installation: Position the tie so that one end sits flush against the roof framing member and the other against the wall stud's web. Attach the tie to the side of the rafter at the top and to the sides of the stud immediately below the top plate at the bottom. Utilize #10 self-drilling screws at minimum to fill all pre-punched holes for secure installation.
