Product Description

ClarkDietrich Seismic and Hurricane Ties are engineered to provide enhanced wind and seismic resistance for trusses and rafters. These clips ensure robust attachment to the primary building structure. The clips offer versatility, serving well in other applications such as general tie-down purposes, strong back attachments, and all-purpose ties where members intersect. The HC2.5 and the HC3 are twisted strap ties used to attach a rafter to the side of the top plate. All clip orders are shipped in equal quantities of separate rights and lefts. Installation: Place the tie so the top fits securely against the roof framing member and so the bottom fits securely against the top plate and flange of the wall stud. Attach the tie to the rafter at the top and to the sides of the top plate and stud immediately below. Fill all prepunched holes with #10 self-drilling screws at minimum for a secure connection.
