Product Description

The ClarkDietrich Flat Tail™ Slide Clip is designed for attaching exterior curtain-wall studs to the building structure while allowing for 2-1/4" vertical building movement independent of cold-formed steel framing. Offering variable standoff, this clip eliminates the need for shims or additional framing components. Installation is simple, as the clip easily fastens to the floor/ceiling beam and secures to the cold-formed steel stud using ClarkDietrich Proprietary Deflection Screws. While restricting lateral movement, the clip enables vertical building movement, ensuring longterm building performance. Installation: 1- Connections to the building structure can be established using screws, powder-actuated fasteners (PAFs), or by welding. 2- Mechanical fasteners should be precisely located in the pilot holes for secure attachment. 3- To attach the clip to the cold-formed steel framing, two FastClip Deflection Screws are needed in each slot. Ensure that screws are positioned in the slot with a 1-inch center-to-center spacing, using guide lines as a reference for accurate placement.
