Product Description

ClarkDietrich FCSC-HD 68mils (14ga) deflection clips are used to attach exterior curtain-wall studs to the primary building structure concrete, allowing vertical building movement independent of the cold-formed steel framing. Proprietary Deflection Screws are provided with each clip for attaching to the wall studs to ensure friction-free sliding, allowing for 3" vertical deflection (1-1/2" up and down). A 5/8" hole in the short leg of the clip allows for a 1/2" concrete anchor to be attached to the slab, or two 3/8" holes allow for 1/4" anchors. Installation: 1- Secure the clip to the cold-formed steel framing stud using three FastClip deflection screws. Ensure the screws are driven through the slotted holes and properly positioned to allow for appropriate building deflection. 2- Attach to the concrete slab using bolt anchors through the pre-punched holes. Ensure anchor connection design and edge distance requirements are approved by a qualified design professional before installation.
