Product Description

ClarkDietrich FastClip™ Slide Clip deflection clips are designed to attach exterior curtain-wall studs to building structures, allowing for vertical movement independent of cold-formed steel framing. This clip easily installs with screws or powder-actuated fasteners, providing an adjustable standoff to ensure a plumb wall plane. These clips are embossed with fastening patterns for precise fastener placement. The clip comes with proprietary Deflection Screws to provide smooth sliding. Installation with provided fasteners supports vertical building movement up to 3". U.S. Patent No. 6,688,069 Installation: Attach to the building using screws, powder-actuated fasteners, or drill-in concrete anchors. Place mechanical fasteners on the embossed marks along the scored line of the 1.5" flange. Use two or three proprietary Deflection Screws (depending on clip size) to secure the clip to the cold-formed steel framing. Ensure screws are driven through the slotted holes and properly positioned to accommodate the necessary building deflection.
