Product Description

EasyClip™ E-Series™ Support Clips are designed for rigid stand-off connections. With a 4" wide leg, they offer additional length to accommodate stand-off connections of up to 3". These clips are common for by-pass wall configurations, securing solid blocking attachments in joist framing, and fastening rafter framing to the primary structure. They come pre-punched from the factory for quicker and more precise fastener placement. Installation: Attach support clips to cold-formed steel (CFS) framing members using #10 self-drilling screws (minimum), driven through the pre-punched clip holes into the steel framing. When not using all holes, ensure symmetrical fastener installation, starting from the top and bottom edges and moving towards the center of the clip. Alternatively, the clip can be welded to the CFS framing. Connections to the building frame can be established using powder-actuated fasteners, drill-in concrete anchors, or welding. When using the manufacturer published tabular values for a welded clip, provide a full weld to the structure, top to bottom, along the outside of the clip. Additionally, a minimum 3/4" weld on the outside edge of the 1-1/2" leg is required to prevent warping and/or to secure the clip before final welding.
