Product Description
The DR97 Drift Rail is a C-Shaped Drift Rail designed to be mechanically fastened to the primary building structure. For cast-in-place applications see the DHR97 Drift Headed Rail. The ClarkDietrich Drift Rail 97mil (12ga) and Clip 97mil or 68mil (12ga or 14ga) form a versatile two-piece system designed for attaching curtain-wall studs to building structures, enabling both vertical and lateral movement (drift and deflection) or rigid attachment. This innovative system employs a C-shaped Drift Headed Rail (this item) and specialized Drift Rail Clips that rotate into place for straightforward installation. The Drift Rail Clips attach to wall studs using FastClip Deflection Screws, allowing for 3" vertical deflection (1-1/2" up and down) or alternatively can be rigidly attached using factory punched 1/8" holes.
