Product Description

The ClarkDietrich Sound Clip™ (CDSC) is designed to work alongside 18mil (25ga) 7/8" deep drywall furring channel. Its primary function is to securely attach gypsum wallboard (drywall) in a variety of wall and floor to ceiling applications while also providing effective acoustical separation. This innovative clip significantly diminishes airborne sound transmission from one room to another, thereby enhancing overall sound control within a building. Using the ClarkDietrich Sound Clip™ results in increased Sound Transmission Class (STC) ratings in the majority of assemblies, effectively reducing sound transfer and creating a more comfortable acoustic environment. Installation: For wooden studs- minimum #8 x 2-1/2" size coarse thread screw (recommend #12 or #10 x 2-1/2" hex head). For steel studs- minimum #8 x 1-1/2" size fine thread screw (recommend #12 or #10 x 1-5/8" hex head). Do not attach to framing members with nails (use approved screws only).
