Product Description

The H7Z is a hurricane tie designed for moderate to high uplift loads in both wood and CFS construction. As part of a continuous load path, the H7Z ties the rafter or truss to both the top plate and the stud, effectively helping to resist wind and seismic forces. The versatile design allows the tie to be folded over the top of the rafter or truss for a secure fit. This tie features embossment in bend line that strengthens the connection. This tie can also be used for a variety of connections where one framing member crosses another. Manufactured from 16 ga steel that features a ZMAX coating for corrosion resistance. Installation: Use all specified fasteners to ensure full load capacity and optimal performance. Note hurricane ties do not replace solid blocking. Avoid fastening through truss plates from behind to maintain truss performance.
