Product Description

The Simpson Strong-Tie H3 Hurricane Tie is designed for resisting moderate loads at the rafter/truss to top plate connection. As part of a continuous load path, this single-sided tie offers lateral and uplift load resistance to effectively enhance structural stability in wind and seismic conditions. Available in both left- and right-hand, the H3 can be installed in pairs for added versatility. Constructed from durable 18-gauge G90 galvanized steel, it is also compatible with load-rated Strong-Drive SD Connector screws for enhanced load-bearing performance. The H3 is also useful for making various connections where framing members cross each other. Installation: Use all specified fasteners to ensure full load capacity and optimal performance. Note hurricane ties do not replace solid blocking. Avoid fastening through truss plates from behind to maintain truss performance.
