Product Description

The Simpson Strong-Tie PBS66 Post Base offers a reliable and corrosion-resistant solution for securing 6x6 posts to concrete surfaces. With its G90 galvanized finish, this stand-off post base provides superior protection against moisture and rust, making it ideal for outdoor applications. The elevated design ensures posts are kept above ground for code compliance and to reduce the risk of water damage and decay. Note that post bases do not provide adequate resistance to prevent posts from rotating about the base. Not recommended for installations without top support (fences, unbraced carports, etc). Installation: Position the PBS66 post base where desired in concrete. Embeds in wet concrete for cast-in-place attachment. 2" minimum side cover required to achieve manufacturer published load values. Align the 6x6 wood post into the base and fasten using recommended fasteners, either nails or bolts.
