Product Description

The FB68 FastBridge Clip is a 14 gauge heavy duty clip designed for use with 16-12 gauge structural studs. Made from stiffened, G90 galvanized steel, the FastBridge™ clip is engineered for the quick and efficient installation of 1-1/2" U-Channel lateral bracing in exterior curtain wall framing, load-bearing walls, or interior partitions using structural or non-structural studs. Its wall stud friction fit design allows for the connection to the U-Channel with a single screw in some cases. U.S. Patent No. D692,746 - Canadian Patent No. 152,547 Installation: 1- Insert the U-Channel into the stud punchout at the specified spacing and rotate it into place with the leg facing down. 2- Position the FastBridge™ Clip inside the punchout with the stiffened wings down and twist it to secure the friction fit (this should hold the clip in place). 3- Ensure the clip is firmly seated over the top web of the U-Channel. 4- Fasten the FastBridge™ clip using #10 self-drilling screws through the clip hole into the U-Channel. Depending on the design specifications, more than one screw may be required.
