Product Description

ClarkDietrich Drift FastClip™ Slide Clips are designed to attach exterior curtain-wall studs to building structures, accommodating both vertical and lateral movement. These clips include step bushings for connections to the structure, which allow for 2" lateral deflection (1" left and 1" right). ClarkDietrich deflection clips also feature the ClarkDietrich Proprietary Deflection Screw, engineered to enable friction-free vertical deflection (1" up and 1" down), eliminating common issues like drag, binding, or resistance often experienced with standard fasteners. U.S. Patent No. D814,905 Installation Instructions: To attach the clip to cold-formed steel framing, drive 2-4 FastClip deflection screws (depending on clip size) through the center position of the slotted holes, allowing for proper building vertical deflection. Attachments to the primary structure can be made with screws or bolt anchors. Ensure that structural attachments that are driven through the drift bushings are centered in the drift slots of the Drift FastClip™ to allow movement in both directions.
